Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern all bookings and services provided by Pommes and Butlers. By entering into a booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms in full.
Pommes and Butlers is a private chef and catering service operating across Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, and surrounding areas. For any queries regarding these terms, please contact us:

2. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a deposit from the client. Until a deposit has been received, no date or service is held or guaranteed.
- Pommes and Butlers reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- Clients must provide accurate event details at the time of booking, including the event date, location, guest count, and any known dietary requirements.
3. Deposit & Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total agreed fee is required to secure a booking. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event date.
- For meal preparation services, payment is due on the day of service unless a GoCardless direct debit arrangement is in place.
- Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, card payment (where available), and GoCardless direct debit.
- Late payment may result in cancellation of the booking. Pommes and Butlers reserves the right to release a reserved date if payment is not received by the due date.
4. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing to info@pommesandbutlers.com. The following charges apply:
- Cancellation 30 or more days before the event: deposit forfeited; no further charge.
- Cancellation 14 to 29 days before the event: 50% of the total agreed fee is payable.
- Cancellation within 14 days of the event: 100% of the total agreed fee is payable.
Pommes and Butlers reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to serious illness or force majeure. In such cases, a full refund of all amounts paid will be provided.
5. Dietary Requirements & Allergens
Clients are responsible for informing Pommes and Butlers of all dietary requirements and allergies at the time of booking.
- Pommes and Butlers will take all reasonable care to accommodate dietary requirements but cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
- Pommes and Butlers accepts no liability for allergic reactions or intolerances arising from information that was not disclosed at the time of booking.
- Guests with severe allergies are strongly advised to contact us directly before confirming a booking to discuss their requirements in full.
6. Minimum Spend & Pricing
Private chef and event catering services carry a minimum event spend from £650. Pricing starts from £75 per guest, subject to menu selection, travel requirements, and event specifics.
- A full written quote will be provided before any booking is confirmed.
- Quoted prices are inclusive of chef time, ingredient shopping, and preparation, unless otherwise stated.
- Travel to locations outside our primary service area may incur an additional charge, which will be disclosed in the quote.
7. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for ensuring that Pommes and Butlers can operate safely and effectively at the event venue.
- The client must ensure a safe, clean, and accessible working environment for the chef.
- The client is responsible for providing adequate kitchen facilities unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Any damage to the chef's equipment caused by the client or their guests is the client's responsibility.
- Pommes and Butlers is not responsible for any issues arising from the failure of the client's kitchen equipment or facilities.
8. Intellectual Property
All menus, recipes, and content created by Pommes and Butlers remain the intellectual property of the business.
Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or share proprietary menus or recipes without prior written permission from Pommes and Butlers.
9. Photography & Marketing
Pommes and Butlers may photograph dishes and event setups during the provision of services for use in marketing materials, social media, and the company website.
If you do not wish your event to be photographed, please notify us in writing before the event date.
10. Liability
Pommes and Butlers carries public liability insurance. Our liability in all circumstances is limited to the total value of the booking.
Pommes and Butlers accepts no liability for consequential losses, indirect damages, or any losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
11. Force Majeure
Pommes and Butlers shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, illness, bereavement, or acts of God.
In such cases, we will endeavour to agree a suitable alternative date. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund of all amounts paid will be provided.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to These Terms
Pommes and Butlers reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available at pommesandbutlers.com/terms.
Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
